Race through hellfire.
There are fast cars—and then there are cars that redefine what modern American performance can be. The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon “Carbon” offered by West Coast Dream Machines belongs firmly in the latter category. Combining extraordinary power, ultra-lightweight carbon-fiber construction and a remarkably limited production history, this Demon is far more than a muscle car. It is a piece of modern automotive performance history.
With just 1,640 kilometres on the odometer, this exceptional example is one of only five Dodge Demons in the world to receive a full carbon-fiber body constructed by SpeedKore Performance Group of Grafton, Wisconsin. The car served as a development vehicle for SpeedKore's work creating carbon-fiber components for the Dodge Challenger Widebody, while also showcasing the company's advanced pre-impregnated carbon-fiber manufacturing process.
Carbon Fiber Meets American Muscle
The most remarkable aspect of this Demon may be hiding in plain sight. Its carbon-fiber body replaces the factory steel panels, reducing weight by approximately 200 pounds. SpeedKore produced the body using carbon-fiber fabric pre-impregnated with epoxy resin, which was then molded and cured in the company's own autoclave. The result is a body that combines exotic-material engineering with the unmistakable presence of a Dodge Challenger.
The carbon-fiber theme continues with a lightweight hood featuring functional hold-down pins and the factory-style Air-Grabber scoop. An Air-Catcher integrated into the driver's-side headlamp directs additional fresh air toward the engine bay, emphasizing the Demon's relentless focus on performance.
Finished with black 18-by-11-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 315/40 Demon-branded Nitto NT555 tires, the Carbon has the aggressive proportions and stance expected from one of the most formidable muscle cars of its era.
1,028 Horsepower of Pure Attitude
Under the hood sits a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8, originally factory-rated at 808 horsepower and 717 lb-ft of torque when running on premium fuel. This particular Demon has since been modified to produce an extraordinary 1,028 horsepower and 1,049 lb-ft of torque.
The 2.7-liter supercharger is capable of producing up to 14.5 psi of boost and carries its own Demon plaque. The engine also features strengthened connecting rods and pistons, a modified valvetrain and cooling system, dual-stage fuel pumps and a 6,500-rpm redline.
Power reaches the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission equipped with a TransBrake and manual shifting mode. Launch Assist and electrically assisted power steering further reinforce the Demon’s purpose-built performance character.
This isn't simply a car designed to look intimidating sitting still. Every major component tells the same story: maximum performance.
A Demon Built for the Driver
Inside, the Carbon retains the unmistakable character of the Challenger Demon while offering the amenities expected of a modern grand tourer. Black Demon-branded leather seats feature Alcantara inserts and white stitching, while the cabin includes UConnect infotainment, air conditioning, cruise control and a back seat.
An Alcantara-wrapped multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters frames a 200-mph speedometer, tachometer and digital information display. Above the glovebox, a badge identifies this car as Demon #118, adding another layer of provenance to an already exceptionally rare automobile.
A Modern Collector's Car
What makes the 2018 Dodge Demon “Carbon” particularly compelling to collectors is the combination of rarity, provenance, engineering and performance.
The original Demon was already an extraordinary chapter in Dodge performance history. This example takes that formula considerably further with its SpeedKore carbon-fiber body, development-vehicle history and four-digit horsepower output. With its extremely low mileage and documented history—including a window sticker, manufacturer's literature and clean BC registration—it represents a rare opportunity to acquire something genuinely unusual.
For collectors searching for something beyond the ordinary, this is the kind of automobile that commands attention before the engine is even started. It is brutally powerful, technically fascinating and exceptionally rare—a modern American performance icon transformed into something even more exclusive.
